1979 Pontiac Trans Am T-Tops - No Reserve I purchased a package of Trans Am's from a gentleman that retired from a business of restoring 2nd generation Trans Am's which included this one, an all orignal 1979 SE, and another 1979 Trans Am (which is currently at the body shop and is near paint stage). I am relocating out of state for a job transfer and can not take any of these cars with me. I have already listed a 1981 Trans Am Nascar Pace Car that is currently up for auction. This is what I know about the car: It no longer has the original 6.6 and has been replaced by a 350. I can not provide any information about the engine outside of the previous owner said it was built. I do know it has headers and appears to have some modifications, but without any concrete details I am not going to speculate about the engine. Once I received the car I did take it to my mechanic and had him rebuild carb, new starter, and fresh gas. The engine was in running order when he was done. Still needed to be completed before driveable would be the brakes and a new battery. I took some pictures of the car while it was behind the mechanics shop which are the outside pictures. The remaining pictures were taken from inside storage where it has been ever since. The car has a dent in the front right corner. There is also some spots of surface rust. The dash pad has a crack and the drivers door panel needs replaced. Mileage is listed at the current odometer reading but the actual in unknown as it's exempt from reporting due to age.
