This is a one owner 1970 Mercury Marquis 2 door hardtop. The milage is true at 79,486. The original color is close to the blue you see but this repaint was done years ago and is in need of another repaint. If you look at the front end photo you can see some of the paint is pealing on the nose and hood. That is just surface rust on the hood. The car is loaded with good options. Power Windows, Power Seat, Power Antenna, Rear Defroster, Vacuum Door Locks, Remote Outside Mirror, Air Conditioning, Vacuum Trunk Release and the 429 motor. I'll start with the good. The car runs and drives great. The motor sounds solid and runs very smooth. No noises or leaks. Transmission is a three speed automatic and shifts perfectly. The steering is tight and it stops good. To use for a daily driver, I would install a set of tires as they look good but are old and showing slight sidewall cracks. Being from Nevada, there is NO RUST ANYWHERE. Spotless and very straight. The headlights open and close. The interior is still pretty nice. Both door panels and quarter interior panels are real clean. The headliner, front seat and carpeting are super. It still has the factory floor mats. Now the not so good. While this is a one owner car, it spent most of its life in the hot Nevada sun so the paint and vinyl top really took a beating. There is some putty on the left quarter where it got creased and was repaired before the repaint. That was about about 13 years ago. The dashpad has two cracks and the bottom of the rear seat is starting to split. Everything on the car works as it should except the following.
