1956 GMC: I purchased this truck from a gentleman that bought it from his Grandfather. this is an 86,000 original mile truck with GMC 305 6 cylinder engine that runs extremely well and is very reliable. If you can get past the patina and look at the truck for what it really is you will be impressed. Has been repainted a few times in its life, the body is extremely solid and rust free. I have never seen original rockers, steps and cab corners in this rust free condition. The floor fenders, and so forth all all solid. the rear fenders have body work started on them where ther were dents. the rear fenders are good and do not need to be replaced. The engine has lots of torque, starts right up and accelerates smoothly. The tranny is a 3 speed with shifter on the column. has original floor starter button you push with your foot. The brakes are great, and the truck rides good. the wood slats on the bed floor are not with the truck. This truck runs and drives great, and is very reliable.
