For some reason, I thought this would be a great unit just to have around for the occasional hi reach job. It is, but, as I am getting older, there are fewer and fewer high reach jobs for me to do around my property. This truck only has an original 103,000 miles which is about 4500 miles per year. The truck has NO RUST any place. Over the last three years I have had the engine, a 350 4 bolt main, replaced along with four of the six tires and all new brakes, drums etc. I don’t think the engine has over five thousand miles on it since it was installed. I also just installed a new set of batteries. This truck, as you can see, has had the large heavy twelve foot utility body replaced with an eight foot body making it a bit lighter and more maneuverable. Earlier this year, I replaced the AC generator/hydraulic pump unit with a Cummins/Onan QG 5500 unit. Since then, I have only put nine hours on the new unit. It still has the break-in oil in it. After replacing the power unit, I put the truck into Altec in Plains, PA. They did a complete safety check and they replaced the bonded hose assembly inside the boom. Between the cost of the new generator/hydraulic pump unit and what was done at Altec, I have eight thousand dollars in the truck plus brakes, tires and engine along with the original acquisition cost. In the bucket, there is an electric heater as well as a 120V AC GFI duplex. The console in the bucket has remote start/stop for the power unit as well a 12V DC emergency hydraulic system to lower the bucket in the event of an emergency situation where the power unit shuts down. There is also a folding seat in the bucket if the needed. The bucket has a rain cover to keep it clean and dry when not in use. This bucket has the self leveling option along with power tilt. The interior has electric bucket seats for comfort with a center console. This truck runs well and could be a workhorse for someone in the sign business or an electrician. If you have any questions or would like to see the truck, call me, Marvin 609-352-3056.
