1978 HONDA, CT-90, TRAIL BIKE - ANTIQUE/VINTAGE DUAL-PURPOSE MOTORCYCLE 1,936 original & verifiable miles - not bad for a 35-year old motorcycle. I am the 2nd owner of this bike, & I purchased it from the original (local Pennsylvania 18014 zip) owner. This little gem starts, runs, & cruises (legally) like it was brand-new. It is currently licensed, inspected, & insured in the state of Pennsylvania. It is totally street-legal, as well as a super performer off-road. I replaced both tires/tubes/rim liners last year with dual-purpose-type tread. Also has new battery. Standard characteristics of a Honda trail bike: fold-down handlebars, spare fuel tank, chrome rear carry rack, passenger foot-pegs, & 2-speed (automatic/no clutch) 4-speed transmission (4 forward speeds in LOW range & 4 forward speeds in HIGH range), turn signals, L/R mirrors, & set-back trip odometer. The visible condition of this bike is what would be expected for a 35-year old motorcycle. It is "all original", & has never been restored or repainted or anything like that. There are some small minor scratches, dings, wear marks & touch-up paint nicks. The (plastic) down-tube has an approximate 2" crack that has been repaired (epoxy patch on inside), & the rear portion of the muffler has a rust hole repaired (hi-temp epoxy, with hi-temp flat-black re-paint). Honda trail bikes are notorious for pin-hole rust holes in their mufflers, from a design flaw whereby moisture from the exhaust lays there, & rusts-out. All chrome is in excellent condition, as are the original graphics. This auction/sale includes the following options: Original owners manual, original Honda tool kit, & (copy) of the Shop Manual (198 pages), for this Honda CT-90 trail bike.
