Up for auction is a 1980 Ford E350 Chateau duel wheel Ambulance / Rescue truck. This rig was just taken out of service in October as a rescue truck for a local volunteer fire dept. It spent the first part of it life as an ambulance and then it was converted to a fire dept rescue truck. It only shows 30,995 miles and I think that maybe original mileage but I am not sure of that so I will sell it TMU (true mileage unknown) it is powered by a very nice running 460 gasoline engine and automatic transmission. This truck runs and drives great ! It still has some of the emergency lights but the light bar and siren were removed by the fire dept prior to selling it to me. it was alway kept in the fire station and very well maintained as all fire dept vehicles are. it is still vt state inspected and need nothing except a driver ! The tires are about 50% remaining. This truck could have many uses including a work truck for a carpenter, electricion or plumber because it has plenty of lighting and dry storage. It would also make great truck for anybody who works the flea markets because it has lots of storage compartment. The body on this truck is in very good shape, especially for being 32 years old with only minor surface rust in a few spots (no holes) The ambulance body was built by Horton and that is also in great shape with only the chrome fender flares over the rear tires showing there age but there is a set of brand-new chrome flares (still in the box) included. I am a vermont licensed used car dealer and I can provide a in-transit plate at no cost if you are from outside of vt and wish to drive it home. I am about 50 miles from the Burlington international airport and I have a guy that will meet you there and bring you to my place for $100 cash, I am 15 miles from the Randolph Amtrak station and I can meet you there with the truck if you wish to come in on the train.
