(FROM 1.5 TO 2.4 L) The story: Auto was purchased JAN. 2009 with a salvage title; car had been in a collision. Seller had rebuilt per state of Florida requirements. I had two mechanics go thru the car to verify that work was done satisfactorily. Mileage at time of purchase: 11,332. Replaced engine 12/2009, and now has less than 21,500 miles on it. (yes, I have documentation.) *I have complete documentation on auto purchase and engine purchase, and will e-mail on request. *Imperfections:. Over the interior right passenger door, there is a slight crimping at the sill. I assume this happened as a result of collision before I purchased. You have to know it's there or you won't see it. Also, some paint chipping below front grille. I removed the cheap plastic liners inside front wheel wells. *This car is a joy to drive. Tight turning radius; good mileage; extremely quick. Four-speed automatic transmission, but you can shift manually with just one finger! All xBs have front-wheel drive. There's a "hidden" storage tray beneath the back seat for small items like laptops. In front there are several storage boxes and trays, a driver's armrest, and the front seats can fully recline. A multi-information display with trip computer functions is included, along with orange-lit gauges. This car has a 9.2. out of 10 rating at Kelley Blue Book. Some interesting features: the stereo system can connect to an iPod or other music player. The doors have an auto locking feature. The back-up light is big and effective. The radio can be operated on the steering wheel. One finger opens up the rear hatch, and one finger also fully reclines the back seats to give you a very large cargo area. Was told by dmv that will take four weeks to get "rebuilt" title, but I cannot wait that long. I figure that will just about cover gas and hotel. You need to allow up to ten days so I can arrange to be out of town that long. I have cats and two kittens that have to be provided for, since I live alone. It probably makes more sense to ship it, but that's your decision, since you will bearing the cost. Rear were fine. A/C: blows cold; no problems. SPARK PLUGS: less than 3,000 miles on Bosch platinums. TIRES; front--about 40% remaining tread; rear: at least 70% remaining. WIPERS: driver side is new (Bosch). CRUISE CONTROL: 100% operational. OIL AND FILTER: changed less than 5,000 miles ago. I am not aware of any malfunctions or problems whatsoever.
