1940 chevrolet special deluxe four door sedan. the pictures tell the story of just how solid this old car is. i believe the car to be mostly origional if not all origional. i amm issing the front bumper. what you see in the pictures is what you are buying. very very solid old car would make a excellent restroration project or rat rod or street rod. car has minor rust as shoen in the pictures. small holes in floor pans but pans are atill really solid. trunk pan has small holes but still mostly solid. frame and under car looks to be in good shape. the engine runs really well however the transmission is stuck in third gear. i unhooked the rods and tried to free it up but to no luck. breaks are non working on the car. havent even messed with them. all the guages on the dash seem to work. even the gas guage still works. origional radio is long gone.interior i all there and seems complete minus radio. all glass is good except for one crack which is shown in the pictures. car doesnt come with a battery. i have one here to put in to show you it runs but it stays here. tires are dry rotted but three out of four hold air all the time. fourth one will hold air for a day.all 4 centercaps are with the car. the hood doesnt fully latch but safety latch does hold it. looks like front end got pushed back alittle at some point.i have a clear illinois title signed by the previous owner of this car and ready for the next owner to enjoy.this is a cool old car especially with the suicide doors. you just dont find them in this solid of shape anymore.car is for sale locally and i reserve the right to end auction at any time.if you have any questions feel free to ask. i try to be as honest as i can in all my auctions and my feedback shows it.thanks for looking and happy bidding.
