Up for auction is a 1950 Chevrolet Advanced Design 3 window Pickup Truck. This would be an excellent project to be build your own hot rod, rat rod or road course truck. Original odometers reads less than 8,000 miles was a farm truck and cannot ensure the accuracy of this. The truck does not have an engine or transmission installed. There is what appears to be a mid 70's 12-bolt rear end installed in it. The cab is from a 3800 series truck, but all cab and front sheetmetal is the same as a 3100 half ton. The doors for it are from a 1952 model and the bed panels that were installed on it appears to be from a 1954 model (flat top rail vs. angle). The truck has typical chevrolet rust in the cab corners and floors and some rust in lower cowl sides. This is not a big deal as patch panels for this problematic areas are widely available at a reasonable cost. Truck will need all glass replaced, doors still have original glass in them but they are not in good condition. Windshield and backglass are gone. I had previously installed a 1978 Trans Am front subframe under the truck to modernize the front suspension, still needs a front crossmember built and installed to secure the front sheetmetal to a solid state. Subframe was installed correctly with the original truck frame layed on top of the subframe rails to both lower the front end and provide solid welding surface to the both frames. Only reason that we are selling this vehicle is that we recently purchased some additional land and need to buy a tractor. This truck is a great start for a winter project. I have attempted to describe the vehicle to the best I can with photos. ***Photos updated 12/14/12*** , I will bolt the front end and doors on for shipment and I am in the process of applying a light coat of primer to any freshhly exposed metal to reduce any corrosion that may occur. Additional parts will be boxed and sent with vehicle. I have a title that came with the vehicle when I purchased the truck several years ago. I do not know if the title is good as the title shows the engine number on the title and not the VIN in Missouri, since the engine is gone I cannot guarantee accuracy of this. The title is from the late 1960's and signed by the owner at that time.
