NO RESERVE. BID TO BUY. Up for sale is this beautifully maintained 1975 Mercedes-Benz 280, 4-Door Sedan. It is a highly desirable collector's car. Please read all details before bidding. This car has had only one California owner. He is 79 years old (non-smoker), has driven it minimally and has always parked it in his garage; which explains why the stunning mid-night blue paint is almost intact. It does have a few chips here and there (see pictures), but it is expected for a car this age. The car turns on right away, the engine sounds smooth and quiet and it rides beautifully. It is truly a sweet ride. The inside is all original and it has been kept very clean and everything is free of cracks or tears. Everything works: the radio, A/C, power locks. The odometer is stuck at 67985, so I don't know exactly how many miles it has. The owner claimed that it stopped working only a few years ago. The registration is current through February 2013. No smog required in California. Insurance with Hagerty is very inexpensive. I am very motivated and I want to sell this car right away. The holidays are coming up and I really need the money.
