Vehicle Detail

First of all I LOVE THIS CAR. It is like part of the family to me. I've had it for 20 years -- bought it my wife and my first anniversary. It runs so awesome and is really really fun to drive. I've had a life long dream to fix it up, but just don't have the time or the skill to do so. The engine is a beast -- a rocket 455 and is probably worth more than the car itself. I have done a lot of work on the car including installing a new stearing column, new carborator, new radiator, new water pump, new lifters, new rocker arms, new valve cover gaskets, etc. However, the car still needs work. The interior is bad and the suspension is poor. However, it still drives great. Tons of power. There are leaks that you will need to fix. But overall, if you are looking for an awesome car to fix up, this is the one for you. It is a convertible, and the top still goes up and down fine. I have kept it down and do not use it. The top will need to be replaced, but the engine if fine. It does have rust for character on the body. I've been driving it around with my kids for fun, but with Christmas approaching, my wife has given me the "it's me or the car" bit. What's the joke? I'll miss her? There are a few great you tube videos where you can go to look at what a fixed up Delmont looks like. one is "1968 Blue Oldsmobile Delmont Convertible Walkaround" The Delmont is the same body style as the Delta 88. However, they only made the Delmont for two years -- 1967 and 1968. The body style changed. Therefore, Oldsmobile only made this body style for one year. It is extremely rare.
