UPDATE: I took car into mechanic for oil change (so you are good for at least another 3K miles). I had him check it over and he could not find any other repairs necessary. So your kid got his license and you're tired of him begging for the family car or taking him to all his high school activities? I have your solution! FOR SALE: FIRE ENGINE RED 1995 Chevy Camaro Z28 SLP with a newish 5.7L V8 engine, 2002 SS Front End Conversion Body Kit, and LOUD stereo with Bazooka bass amp. I bought this car for my son while he was in high school but now he is away at college and I’m tired of all the looks I get from young girls while I drive it around to keep it in shape! The car has had a LOT of work done by previous owner and myself. If you don’t want to put your kid in a new car since you are afraid he will get it dinged up and you are nervous about older cars since you think they will need lots of work, this is the perfect car for you since I have already done all the major repairs and he/she will be the talk of their high school parking lot when they roll up in this new red rocket sled after the holiday break! Here is a list of more expensive repair items completed (I’ll give you all receipts upon sale): 1. New Jasper engine installed 6/16/2010 when car odometer was at 33.4K, now it is at just over 45K. Engine has transferable 3 year or 100K mile warranty on it so you don’t have to worry about engine failure for about six months or another 77K miles, whichever comes first! At same time, I replaced the radiator, A/C condensor, idle air control valve, exhaust header switch, starter, sensors, and the oil pan gasket plus a few other odds and ends for a total repair bill of $5,364. I will pay $30 cost to transfer engine premium warranty to buyer and include paperwork at time of pick up. 2. Transmission rebuilt and flash computer replaced 8/10 at cost of $3,250 (a rough couple of months but its been great since then!) 3. Replaced right rear Anti-Lock brake ring 7/12. Spare parts from used rear axle purchased will be included in sale. 4. Two new front tires 3/12 at 36K (only one failed but I replaced both and will give you the spare in the trunk but there is no extra rim) 5. Brake Combination Valve and battery replaced 2/11 6. Replaced EGR Valve and Iginition Key Cylinder 11/09 7. Replaced Distributor 6/09 8. Replaced Water Pump and Timing Cover Gasket 11/08 9. Installed Blue Tooth capable with CD and MP3 jack Kenwood stereo plus an 8” SAS Amplified Bazooka 5/08 10. Prior owner had BBK Headers and 52mm Throttle Body installed 4/08 11. Prior owner had body kit installed and painted 11/07 I purchased the car for my son in 5/08 for $6,500 via eBay Motors and despite putting another $10,000+ of work into it over the last four years, you will get it for whatever the high bid ends up. NO RESERVE!!! My loss is your gain. Other items of note on the car when I purchased it: 1. 22” Fosse rims (with locking lug nut) 2. Custom Leather seats with Racing Flag emblems matching one on car side 3. Power everything 4. LT4 knock module 5. Granatelli mass airflow sensor 6. SLP cold air intake 7. 3” high flow cat 8. Flowmaster with center mount exhaust 9. Chip to make car even faster by changing air/gas mix (but I put in stock one to pass inspection) 10. SLP Performance Floor mats and Car cover The car runs, looks and drives just great now but I don’t need it and could use the cash for Christmas! ADDED BONUS: Car engine runs LOUD, so your kid will no longer be able to sneak home way after his curfew since you will hear him from about a half mile away approaching the house! TO BE FAIR SINCE ALL SALES ARE FINAL!!! Here is a full disclosure of issues with the car that I am aware of at this point in time: Car had 32,008 miles on title when I bought it because previous owner reset odometer when he replaced the engine. I replaced engine with 33,400 miles on odometer. Title clearly states "Not Actual Mileage". Car had 117K mileage on it according to DMV records before engine was replaced first time. Intermittent rattle sounds from rear end, especially in colder weather. (Mechanic can’t locate but thinks its due to oversize 22” Fosse rims on the car with the tubeless tires. My son just turned up the stereo!) Ding in front hood (see picture) Blue tooth only works with certain types of phones (but can be upgraded) Back seats do not lock in place but do fold down for lots of extra storage Car gets 10-15 MPG depending on how you drive it (roughly 170-200 miles per tank full) Gas gauge goes way past full but it is EMPTY when it reads one quarter tank (I kept an extra gallon or two in trunk after kid ran out of gas a few times and will leave container there for you!)Hood is slightly mis-aligned and comes up a little, especially on the left hand side at the top. Body kits never fit perfect. (see picture) Normal wear and tear for a 17 year old car used by a high school kid for a few years but overall in good enough shape to be a GREAT high school red rocket sled! PLEASE only bid if you are a serious buyer with available cash on hand.
