Vehicle Detail
1970 Buick Skylark GranSport 1970 was the pinnacle of the muscle car era! This sharp classic Buick was made to look like an original Buick GranSport. It comes with the original owner's manual, the little extra's paphlet, and the factory build sheet. This car was originally made in California, and sold to a dealership in Arizona. It spent the majority of it's life in that dry climate before it eventually came to the midwest. That is why the floors, trunk, and frame are all in very good original condition. As you can see from the pictures, the undercarriage looks more like a 5 or 10 year old car. It really is that clean! I made the purchase of this very solid 42 year old classic muscle car needing very little to the body to make it look as nice as you can see in the pictures. Anyone can see that this car was never abused, and I saw no signs of it ever being involved in an accident. This Buick has an original GranSport steel framed ram-air hood! The paint was beautifully finished in a deep dark green that appears close to black. The finish in this paint has a deep glossy shine, and the body is virtually laser straight! I would rate the paint as nice drivers quality. The interior is in super nice shape with the front bench, and the rear seat both just re-upholstered in the original black vinyl material for a GranSport. The door skins are proper for a GS as well. All of the chrome is in nice drivers quality condition or better. There is an AM/FM CD player sound system, and the dash is in good condition. The carpet is brand new, and still has the original factory black Buick floor mats that came with the car in 1970. All of the door felts, door gaskets, roof rail gaskets, and the trunk gasket have all been recently replaced with brand new factory rubber gaskets to make all the doors and windows close tight. A new headliner was just installed with new courtesy lights in the sail panels. A new package tray was added at that time. This Buick has new dual exhaust to give it that nice rumble every muscle car guy loves to hear. There are four very nice B.F. Goodrich Radial T/A's on 15" Buick sport wheels with all four center caps. This baby sits up just right like a real GS would. The nice solid original trunk was detailed with factory spatter spray, and carries the restored original jack, and crowbar with a full size spare tire. I tried to replace all of the factory decals to have this Buick appear close to the way it rolled out of the factory onto the showroom floor back in 1970. This Buick was ordered with factory air conditioning, but hasn't been charged for years. It is still on the old R-12 system, so getting the a/c back functional will be left up to the new owner if they so desire. This car starts right up, and runs, steers, and stops great!! If this were a real Buick GranSport the Nada Classic Car Price guide has this same looking car valued at $37,505 in high condition, $18,750 in average condition, and $11,660 in the lowest condition. The model being sold in this auction is as close to the real thing as it gets. You can now own the same looking car that in my opinion is in way better than average condition for whatever you can afford to spend. It took a great deal of time, money, and effort to see the car that is listed in this auction. These classic cars have shown to consistently rise in value. This is a great car to use as an investment tool to gain a substantial increase on your hard earned money. Even when these cars are cloned, they are like rolling bank accounts. It's time to enjoy your investment while it continues to grow. I tried to show the best pictures I possibly could to let people know exactly how great this old classic really looks. What you see is exactly what you get! Please ask as many questions as you like or simply call Freddy at 262/497-1119. Don't let this Buick get away! This is a "No Reserve" auction and will sell to the highest bidder on Sunday evening. Good Luck and Happy Bidding!!
