This 1964 E-type coupe is a late 3.8 liter car and very rarely do you find one in such original condtion. The type of arm rests on the doors, and the fact that the center console is covered in leather instead of being metal indicates that this is a late 3.8 liter car. It is a fully matching number car and is a perfect car to restore. This E-type even has all the original hose clamps and the original spark plug wires still in it. I don't believe the engine or the gearbox have ever been taken out of the car. The engine does turns freely, but will need the fluids changed out. As far as the interior of the car goes, you very rarely find car like this one with all the original interior still intact. The seats, the dash, the headliner and all the instruments are all in real nice condition. I would expect that if you changed all the fluids it wouldn't take much more to get the car on the road. Being such a late production 3.8 liter engined E-type, it is my understanding that the car is sought after for racing as they are supposed to have larger valves than the earlier 3.8 E-types and there is a marking underneath the head that indicates this.
