1978 Jeep CJ5, 258 inline 6cyl, 4spd. New engine, transmission, and self-choking carb each with less than 10,000 miles. Jeep fires up and runs strong with NO hesitation. It has Sears locking hubs, and the 4x4 works great. It has been garage kept and is in solid condition. It is a daily driver. It isn't a showroom Jeep, but is well maintained and still gets attention on the highway. Deep blue indigo paint still shines, all original gauges and dashboard, floors have been herculined, full soft top and doors, and seats are in very good condition (one small tear on driver seat - approx 4 inches). Goodyear wrangler tires mounted on brand new black powder coat wheels, Dick Cepek spotlights installed as well. Headlights and tail lights are fully functional with protective screens on all. Has brand new battery, fuel tank/delivery system, brakes, and clutch. Heater is in working condition as well. Radio also works, although the Jeep needs a new antenna. The only things that could use attention are as follows: paint on hood has some fade spots , blinkers not working, some of the herculiner in the floor could use another coat, the gas gauge does not work (maybe unplugged?), the soft top isn't brand new, so it does have a few very small imperfections. There are normal dings here and there, as can be expected from a '78 Jeep. Overall, it is a strong ride. As I said, it isn't showroom condition, but I still get comments and people asking about it regularly. I really hate to let this one go. It is tough to find one like this for the price. Bill of Sale will be provided along with a copy of registration rather than the title, as titles are not required for vehicles over 18 yrs old in GA.
