Some water got inside the car and got on the carpet up to about three inches high. Fortunately, water was fresh water and the level was low enough not to cause any big damage to the car. The car was purchased from the auction in Run & Drive conditions. Also, it does not have any kind of accident record. For Buyer’s information: WHAT DOES REBUILT OR SALVAGE TITLE MEANS Not everyone understands the difference between Salvage versus Rebuilt title. Salvage title could be issued to a car for a number of reasons which includes: The car was stolen, insurance has 30 days to recover the vehicle, if the car is recovered after that it is brought to auction as a ‘total loss vehicle’ even though it did not have any vehicle. Many a times, the car has some minor damage but parts are very expensive and the owner does not want to get the vehicle repaired, in such a case, depending upon the decision of insurance company may be for the year of the car or may be for some other petty reason, the insurance pays off the owner. The insurance company decided not to get the car fixed and paid off the owner so the car gets salvage title and comes in auction.
