I purchased this BMW 2002 in 2011 with the intention to restore it, but I just had the opportunity to buy another car so my plans have changed. The last owner used the car as a daily driver and parked it in 2008 due to health issues. It has been off the road since. The original factory color was Sahara which is still found in the trunk and engine compartment. The service booklet shows #2584211 was sold new at GEM Motor Corp in Houston TX, having never left TX. The entire car is very original and stock. The previous owner had a new gas tank and new exhaust installed in 2007. I have not done anything to her, the engine turns freely but please note: It is currently not in running condition. When I bought car the old man told me to install a battery and start it but I did not want to do this without having a thorough check over. The paint is very nice “driver” condition but not a show car. The interior is very nice and original and with no tears in the seats. The dash has a crack near the center but otherwise very nice. The undercarriage looks very solid and rust free. I did find corrosion in the rear trunk bottom of the spare tire pan. I have tried to picture as much as possible.
