For sale my 1979 Porsche 928 (5-speed, sun roof delete). I purchased the car a year and a half ago on Ebay from a California dealer as a running project car. Since then, I have driven it frequently as I gathered parts and had work done, including: > New Clutch > Trans-axle flush and new RedLine lube > Professional interior replacement (black German vinyl) see photos > Fuel injection rebuild with all new hoses > New battery > Replaced missing tools in tool tray, OEM jack and electric tire compressor > New steering column and ignition switch > Replaced brake pads, sensors and clutch/brake pedal pads > New Borla stainless steel exhaust system > All new power steering hoses > Replaced Hirshmann power antenna > Replaced missing grille bars and brackets > New Moto Lita Mark 3 style wood rim steering wheel and Porsche/LeCarra horn button (custom aluminum machined hub) > Modern digital radio > New fuses and relays > New window and power mirror switches > Dozens of small interior bits and pieces sourced through 928 International, German Auto Dismantlers and Ebay > Replaced rear hatch seal > Engine tune-up (rotor, cap, plugs and fluid/filter change) > New OEM air filter > Replaced hood and hatch struts > Dash and instrument pod cover and dash saver > Factory service manuals (CD) > Wheels replaced with newer CHROME 928 slot type > Tires 80% tread > Lights, power windows and fan blower all work > Have a box of parts and seals to go with the sale Odometer is inoperative, shows 58K. The engine runs strong, idles smoothly cold. As of the auction there are still items to complete: · AC inop. and has not been inspected · No heat (California car heater core bypassed) · Exterior paint (current repaint in original white VERY poorly done, photos make it look much better than it is) · Several gauges operate intermittently (odometer inoperative) · Has engine oil leak · Synchros weak · Driver side window glass has scratch · Window washer pumps inop. An enthusiast could pick over some more details, but the car is road worthy and a fun to drive. I have three 928 cars and insufficient storage.
