Today we are offering a beautiful 1971 Chevrolet Impala. This car is probably the lowest mileage car of its type in existence. We purchased this car from a gentleman who bought it from the estate of the original owner. This car probably spent 30 years in a garage, being driven little to none. We bought the car from the second owner who was going to customize it so he could add it to his personal collection. After he had the car 100% mechanically restored, he decided to take on another project and we purchased the Chevrolet from him. He replaced 4 tires, all brakes and lines, new exhaust, new clutch, complete tune-up, new fuel pump and we believe a radiator as well. This was a 3-speed column shift, and he decided to mount it on the floor professionally, but we have all the parts shown in the picture in the box to restore it back to the original column shift if that’s the way you’d prefer the car to be. I have driven this car many times, and what a smooth, nice-riding, tight car this was to cruise! It starts right up, sounds great, and goes. If you purchased this Chevy and decided to drive it home you should have no problem if you don’t mind adding additional miles onto the vehicle. The trunk, as you can see in the pictures that we have taken, is like new. There has been nothing cleaned or any spray cans or chemicals added to make it look as nice as it does. You’re looking at the present original condition as the car truly is. The body of the car is clean. We purchased it with 100% original paint. There was a small crease in the front right fender, and a tiny dent in the left rear quarter panel very close to the rear bumper, but it never touched the bumper. We had them both repaired, and they look good, but not great. The appearance of the car, however, is substantially better than when we originally purchased it. There was also no rust where the car was repaired. All of the original paint on the car looks good, but there are areas with cracks in the paint, so if you’re buying this car please don’t expect a brand-new factory paint job that’s perfect from 1971. All the pictures that are shown of the car were just taken Tuesday the 20th of November, 2012. The way you see it in the pictures is exactly the way it will appear when you see it in person. One lucky bidder is getting a very special car. We are running this as a no-reserve auction, which means that the last highest bidder when the 7 days are over wins the car. If you’re bidding to win, please have your funds available. We are accepting cash or wire transfer only as payment on this auction. The car must be paid for within 3 days of auction ending, and we’d also like the car to be picked up within 7 days. This is an as-is auction, which means that the buyer gets the car with all faults known or unknown, from the seller to the buyer. The buyer is responsible for any and all repairs on this vehicle. We would like all bidders to stop and check the car out before they bid so that they’re 100% satisfied with it if they are the lucky winner. If you live far away and can’t make it out to personally check the car out, try to get a local mechanic in the Cleveland area to check it out for you, so you’ll know you’ll be satisfied with your purchase. You’re bidding on a clean, beautiful, original automobile. If you have any questions on the car, please call Lou at 216-210-8488 before bidding. Thank you, and good luck to all bidders.
