1970 vw beetle. nice clean looking old classic bug. relisted due to a non paying bidder. if you do not intend to pay or pick up the car. then do not bid.winning bidder must contact me and make deposit within 24 hours of auction end. also car must be paid in full and removed from premisis within 7 days of auction end.other arrangements may be made depending on circumstances. good luck and happy bidding!!! 1970 vw beetle. engine runs but trans does not enguage car does not drive. body is in real nice shape for the year. tires are dry rotted from sitting and are not good. will hold air for a few hours and definately long enough to load. a guy bought this to fix up for his wife and ran out of patience with it and then it sat for a few years in a shed. the guy was going to scrap this car. i persuaded him otherwise because i know someone out there will fix this car and get back on the road where it belongs. if you look at the pictures you will see that this car is in very nice shape for the age. what you see in the pictures is what you get minus the battery. it was taken from a different car and is not for the vw. sorry. i brought it home and flushed the fuel tank and fuel lines and squirted some oil down the cylinders and spun the engine by hand to lube the cylinders. then put the plugs back in and put some fuel down the carb and it fired up. it runs but doesnt run great. it will idle with the choke on and revs up but isnt running right. interior is very good shape front seats have afew rips but are very useable and restorable. radio works but doesnt have alot of volume. wipers work. horn works headlights work. no tail lights brakelights and turn signals dont work. car is going to be sold as is as shown in the pictures. i have the car for sale locally as well so i reserve the right to end auction at any time. buyer is responsible for shipping. if you want it shipped u make arrangements and i will have somebody here to hand you the title and make sure it gets loaded. somebody can make this a awesome car again. if your looking for a easy restoration project this is it. i require a deposit at auction end through paypal and the rest is due at pickup in cash or bankers cashier check. no checks sorry. i will not sell outside the usa. car has a clear illinois title. thanks for looking and haapy bidding!!!
