You are bidding on a major project for a skilled craftsman. Please read the entire listing fully and study each photo carefully before bidding. This car is located in Madison, CT. I bought this car as a junior in high school in 1990. It was a running car needing absolutely everything and had been patched together as a daily driver. The car was about 98% complete. The engine ran with good oil pressure but had burned valves. The graphite clutch throw out bearing was very worn but the transmission shifted well. The rear axle did not make any noise but did drip a bit over 22 years in storage. The brakes all needed to be rebuilt. It did have nearly new Michelin radial tires that still appear good with no cracks. All lights and gauges worked fine. I enjoyed it for a few months and started taking it apart for restoration. Remember, I was a junior in high school. This car shows the effects of a young person with more enthusiasm than ability to plan and execute a project. The engine and transmission are still together, except the cylinder head. Almost everything else is disassembled. There are three bodies (orange, white and blue) to make one car out of. Between all of them there are enough panels to build a complete solid body. Many body panels are cut apart or rusted away. The frame is a typical MGA: the inner side of the frame is rusted from the wood floor and the top is rusted from the foam rubber body gasket. The right side repair had begun. The frame still appears to be straight and rigid. There are brand new MOSS motors body sills and door post patch sections. There are brand new gasket sets and a new muffler. Please study each photo carefully. I have tried to document the condition of the car as accurately as possible with a limit of 24 photos (I started with 50). The first two photos show the car with fenders, doors and grill sitting in place only to show what it would look like. The fenders and doors are loose from the body. I don't pretend that this is a candidate for a concourse restoration. This would make a great vintage racer or daily driver car with LOTS of work. There is also a 1959 MGA 1500 Coupe very rusty body shell with no doors (see photo). It has correct 1500 wheels and suspension parts but nothing else in it. The frame has rusted through. It can go with the Roadster if the purchaser wants it. We can move it from its current location. After 22 years my interests have gone on to other older vehicles and I will never get back to this project so I want it to find a good home. This vehicle is being sold with Bill Of Sale only as CT does not have titles. This vehicle is being sold where is, as is, with no warantee implied or otherwise. There is no shipping offered. There is one complete engine with the car (as shown in the photos). There is a box of engine parts including a crankshaft, camshaft, front plate, starter, fan, etc. They are surface rusted and apparently came with the blue car when I bought it. Someone asked if all the parts in the photos come with the car. Yes, there are two spare back halves, 4 spare doors, a spare dash with weathered gauges, two sets of bumpers, two top assemblies, etc. However, both rear sections, the front section and the spare fenders all have good sections needed for the restoration.
