Just scroll down! 1990 Audi 200 Quattro Turbo Avant Hello there eBayers, here is a vehicle that is rapidly becoming more and more rare and harder to find in decent condition. We are in the business of finding true collectible vehicles and offering them for sale here on eBay. Aside from some cars in my personal collection that we have sold on eBay, every now and again we come across something that we believe you may appreciate. We have sold quite a number of vehicles on eBay, all with positive feedback. (Credentials can be supplied on request and we invite you to view our feedback. Last vehicle was a rare 1991 Mercedes Sportline, sold to a very happy buyer.) Description: This car runs and drives well, has a solid drivetrain, but for specifics please read on: Drivetrain: 157,400 miles. Engine and 5-speed manual transmission are in nice operational shape. No leaks or smoke visible. Engine starts up without trouble and runs and idles very well. Turbo engages and pulls quite nicely. In fact, the engine is so smooth that I had trouble showing that the engine was in fact running when we took the videos! It is just so quiet, with no vibration or noise. Must be seen to be believed. (SEE VIDEO FOR MOTOR IDLE AND ADDITIONAL FOR REV.) Quite smooth... extra smooth, in fact. A/C was working, but during our test drive it stopped blowing cold. I believe it may need a new compressor or perhaps clutch. Might even be just the belt. I will have our mechanic check it out. Please check back at bottom of page for updates or contact me. Car has incredible power for the size of engine (2.22 litre, I believe). Transmission and diff lock are working well and driver is able to engage and disengage each gear with no trouble. The clutch pedal is more stiff than other cars, but to my knowledge from past experience with these cars and also from what I have been told, they are just like this. Nevertheless, the clutch enagages and disengages just fine, gears shift well and there is no grinding, popping out, or other troubles. It still amazes me when I am able to engage 3rd gear going about 20mph with no shaking, shuddering or stalling. It's smooth. Interior: Interior looks beautiful. In fact, this is one of those times when the pictures don't do it justice. It seems like it is so very hard to find an Audi 200 with clean leather interior such as this one. Leather is still nice and black, dashboard is crack-free, and overall a very pretty interior with plenty of life left. The headliner is just starting to sag, as is common with these Audis. It has no reached the point where it looks terrible, but some light attention or intervention could solve this issue without having to re-do it. Body: The body is solid and rust free. Nice pearl white color. Custom but tasteful "Audi Sport" scheme color stripes painted on side of body. The stripes seem to have been done privately, but precisely - and with seemingly quality materials. From what I gather by looking at it, it seems to have endured a dent in the driver's fender which was patched and then tastefully covered with the painted stripes with vinyl pinstripe divisors. The passenger side has been painted to match, but there is no visible prior damage to that area. The prior damage to the driver side fender must have been light, as there have been no reports made to autocheck, and also it does not look visible nor has it seemed to affect driving or steering in any way. We would just like to let you know what we have noticed to keep you informed and prevent any surprises when you arrive to pick her up. Overall, the body is quite nice and the stripes really make it "pop". The windshield has a radial stress crack with downward line on the top passenger side (see picture). It does not affect the driver's view in my opinion, and because of its nature, it should not continue to crack further. Electronics & Electrics: No problems that I can see at this moment, all switches and controls are working well, other than the rear right passenger window (as seen when sitting inside the car). It works sometimes, other times not. I have been told that the rear switch may need replacing or cleaning, as the contacts corrode over time. Sunroof is working well with no leak or grinding. No warning lights are on, but something funny I noticed is that when the driver's door is open, and only when the driver's door is open, the Air Bag light comes on. Again, this is only when the driver's door is open. Once you close it, the light goes off. I've been told this is a safety reminder in the system, and I've also been told it is a glitch in the reminder system. I don't know who to believe, we are just mentioning this so you can be aware of it. Title: Good blue title, ready to be transferred to you!
