Vehicle Detail

This car is being re-listed due to a non-paying bidder. Please don't bid unless you will buy this car.You are bidding on my 2002 Audi A6 sedan. This Audi has a 3.0 liter V-6 Engine and the continuously variable transmission (CVT). It is NOT a Quattro. I am not a car dealer. I am selling this car without a reserve price because I think that’s the best way to sell a car on ebay. I find that ebay bidders are more reliable and generally nicer people than you find on Craigslist or other sources. Take a look at my 100% positive feedback and bid accordingly. I bought this Audi in December 2010. I have a clear Tennessee Title in hand and can transfer the title and the Audi upon receipt of payment. She had about 103,000 miles when I bought her. Most of the miles I put on her are from highway driving. I make a lot of trips from Knoxville to Memphis, Atlanta, and Washington. Right now the mileage is a little bit less than 154,000, but I’m listing her at 154,000, as I have her up for sale locally and somebody might test drive her between now and when the auction closes. On the highway, it isn’t hard to get 30 miles per gallon out of the car if you keep her under 70 MPH. Around town, I typically average around 22-24. I typically get between 350 and 375 miles on a tank of gas when traveling on the highway. I have had a few things fixed on the car since I bought her, including replacing both of the front window regulators, brake pads (and rotors turned). I purchased specialized all-weather floor mats for the front and these will be included with the car. I bought a matched set of tires and they all have good tread left. I rotate the tires every 5,000 miles at the tire shop where I bought them. The first-aid kit that is stashed in the rear arm rest was missing, so I bought a replacement and replaced things like the old band-aids with new ones. That is included with the car, too. This Audi comes with the following features: 8 Speaker AM/FM radio with Cassette, 6-CD changer/player, Air Conditioning with automatic temperature control for driver and passenger (I think Audi calls it “Front dual zone A/C”), Rear window defroster, Power driver and passenger seats, Power steering, Power windows, Remote keyless entry, Speed control, Child Door Locks, Driver and passenger fold-up door bins, Driver and passenger lighted vanity mirrors, Front and rear Reading lights, Genuine wood console, dashboard, and door panel inserts, Illuminated entry, Leather Shift Knob, Leather steering wheel, First Aid Kit,Exterior temperature display, Front and Rear seat center armrests, Tachometer, Telescoping/Tilt steering wheel, Trip computer, Voltmeter, Leather front bucket Seats, Split folding rear seat, Four wheel independent suspension, Speed-sensing steering, Traction control, 4-Wheel Disc ABS Brakes, Dual front and side impact airbags, Front and Rear anti-roll bars, Overhead airbag, Trunk cargo net, Rear anti-roll bar, Panic alarm, Security system, Power Glass Sunroof, Front fog lights, Headlight washers, Rear fog lights, Alloy wheels, and Variably intermittent wipers. Like any older car, there are a few issues of which you should be aware. One of the front cup holders doesn't work (no surprise if you've ever owned an Audi). It’s the one in the console, next to the parking brake lever. It is stuck in the down position. The cup holder in the dash works fine. One of the cup holders in the back seat is totally missing. There are small marks in the back passenger side seat. You can them it in the photos. The cuts haven’t grown or traveled. I suspect a prior owner had a baby seat back there that cut into the leather. An insect crawled into the third brake light area and died. There is an insect carcass in there and I have no idea how to get him out. The brake light works fine. Lately, the car has a faint oil smell and I would say this is the biggest area of concern. My mechanic recommended replacing the valve cover gaskets and cam seals. His estimate for this work (parts and labor) is $ 758.77. I have the estimate if you would like to see it. Currently, she uses a quart of oil about every 2,500 miles. There has been a service engine light on ever since I bought the car. Two different mechanics (mine, and Harper Audi in Knoxville) have independently told me that the cause is the catalytic converter. I can’t remember if it heats up too quickly, or too slowly, but either way, it doesn't affect the car's performance. The driver's door speaker works intermittently. There is a hairline crack on the wood panel on the driver’s side door. Next to the trunk release button (below your left hip as you sit) , there is button to disable the interior motion detector on the car alarm. I think the purpose is so you can leave a pet in the car (not that I understand why anyone would do that) so the movement of the pet doesn't set off the alarm. Long story short--the feature works, but the button is missing. The panic button has never worked quite right. There isn't an audible alarm but the hazard lights flash when you press the button. I suspect it's a programming issue, but I've never looked into it. I think I mentioned everything on the car, but my memory isn't perfect. If you have questions about anything, or would like to see or test drive the car, just send me a message through ebay and I’ll do my best to make sure you get to look at the car before bidding. This car is being sold as-is, where-is, with no warranty of any kind. There are no additional fees or sales tax. You need to pay to register the vehicle when you get it home.Included are one remote key and one valet key. Both keys work. I also have the original owner’s manual and all of that is included with the car. There is also a full-sized spare tire. The jack and Audi’s set of tools are also included with the car. All of it works fine. The car is located in Knoxville, Tennessee (Zip 37918). I will do my best to coordinate any shipping requests. If you want to use an auto shipper who picks up in the Knoxville area, I’ll be glad to deliver the car to the shipper for you. Do not bid if you have negative or zero feedback. I’ll cancel your bid. If you are the winning bidder and don’t follow through on the payment, you’ll have problems from me and from ebay. A deposit of $ 250.00 is due by paypal within 24 hours of closing. The balance is due within ten (10) days of closing and must be paid by cashier’s check or in cash (Sorry, no Money Orders). Upon receipt of payment I will tender the title, keys, and vehicle. I will ask you to sign a Bill of Sale, verifying that you purchased the car and that you have insurance to cover the car. Please resolve any questions before bidding. Thanks for looking at my car and good luck!
