Vehicle Detail
This is a one-owner car purchased in Dec. 1988 in Houston Texas. The car is owned by a Doctor's wife who's husband passed away a few years ago. She has asked me to help her sell the car in return for a donation to our Church's building fund. I am a member of the Idaho British Car Club (IBCC), a member of my Church's building committee and fairly knowledgeable regarding British cars. The car has been in the owner's garage since Nov 2009. From 2009 until this year it was occasionally started and driven very little. The car is very clean and runs very well. It has good brakes, good steering, almost new Bridgestone tires, a new battery, a good headliner and a straight body with nice paint. Most notable is the condition of the leather, it is in exceptional condition and the seat foams are great. The dash is in excellent condition. The wood on the dash is excellent. The wood trim on three of the doors is excellent, the right rear door has slight discoloration around the rear edge. The console wood is acceptable, but shows some age. The service history shows that the car was upgraded to R134 A/C coolant, but currently needs to be recharged. The car is reported to have minor oil leaks, but has not left any noticeable on my driveway for the month that I have had the car. The car was assessed by Treasure Valley British Automotive in Boise just prior to listing. The car is reported to be in good overall condition, but it is a 30+ year old classic. Taillight lenses need replaced. The R Rear window needs an actuator or switch, the left front door lock actuator needs replaced, R rear outside door latch needs adjustment, ABS display error needs to be cleared, Rear hydraulic suspension needs level sensor and leak repaired, typical oil seepage at cylinder head and oil cooler. The car had body repair on the right side, but was done professionally. This car is unique in being a single owner car with fully documented mileage and service history. 30+ years of receipts and service records come with the car. Original documents, including the window sticker come with the car. The car looks great and drives very well and the condition is honestly stated so that the new owner knows what is required to fully restore the car. The car is being shown at local car club events and the seller reserves the right to cancel the auction early if the car is sold.
