Great project car. (That's code for it has issues) But it also has awesome potential. As the CarFax detail shows the car has been crashed. The crash long ago (rear) was fixed properly. However, as you can plainly see, repairs for the recent crash have not been completed. (This summer we were calling him Rudolph.) We do have the (red) headlight covers; and a whole bunch of little things we kept from the parts car. I will reject that bid if this information changes that bidders level of interest.Problem minor:The little part (pictured with the sunglasses) is supposed to have a plastic ball socket on both ends. One end is broken and this causes the top to stall as it is being power operated. Turning the hydraulic bypass valve allows manual (assured & quick) raising and lowering of the top. Find this little part in a JY and you are back in the switch operated top movement business.Problems major:The transmission (according to what I've read about common problems with this model) needs valve body work. The fluid is not burnt smelling or dark, but since the problem started, the up shifts are late and there is no reverse.Using his foot to push the car out of a parking space when the above problem first evidenced itself my son messed up the drivers seat adjusting hinge.
