Here is this beautiful 500E.Extremely rare and collectible piece of german engineering. I would like to mention in the beginning that this is a non matching number car. More photos here,just copy it into your browser: furi-dorifto.com/500E/ History: Long time MB mechanic and enthusiast owner had this car for a long time.3 years ago the car was rear ended.Since this is an extremely rare vehicle,extreme measures needed to be taken.Body shop wasnt an option.After waiting and looking for 2 years he found a clean donor car for the chassis. And from there on is just planning and hard work on this big project.He took everything from his old car and swapped it over to the donor chassis.Everything is everyting,interior,engine,wiring,suspension,transmission etc. The car was went through from bumper to bumper.Whatever needed to be changed it was changed,engine and transmission serviced,all rubber hoses changed,all suspension bushings changed etc.I can go on and on.The car was fired up first 3 months ago,runs and drives like a brand new 500E. Specs: The suspension was completely overhauled,new bushings,new Bilstein/Lorinser shocks in the front with H&R lowering springs Rebuilt and re-finished Brembo 4 piston brakes installed with new brake lines New Sachs rear shocks and hydrolic lines New lower control arms Engine was serviced,new belts installed New waterpump New vacuum lines New radiator. Transmission was serviced,flushed and oil changed Differential flushed and re-sealed with Motul Ac lines changed,compressor rebuilt AC super cold now Original tape deck sent out for repair,now works perfect. The interior is flawless,crisp like new leather Perfect stain free carpet Perfect floormats Wood trim is in perfect shape All electrical wiring was gone trough and repaired where needed.The result everything works on the car. Refinished AMG wheels wrapped in new Hankooks give this 500E a nice stance The US headlights were swapped to european units,much more pleasent to the eye. All the emission related devices were untouched,the car passes smog easily Aftermarket Remus muffler gives a nice tone to the car. The repaint is nice on the car and its the original color. The front valance has a couple of scuffs and chips. The car,-engine,trans,interior etc.- has 114k miles on it and the donor chassis has 166k miles on it. The car comes as pictured with a clean california title and current registration. Some extra parts are included among the speedometer/cluster unit from the donor car and the title from the original car. Picture documented the entire swap and will be included with the car. Like I said earlier sometimes it takes extreme measures to keep a classic alive. Overall this car runs and drives perfect,transmission shifts perfect,ac is cold and the suspension is tight and way better than average.
