The Duchess is STRONG!! I've been commuting 20 miles a day for 3 years, I've never had engine trouble. I added the Lovecraft Biodiesel conversion in 2009. All the fuel and filters I have delivered to my house by this guy: vegnrg.com. I'm including my fuel drum and pump. PLEASE NOTE - RUNS ON DIESEL, BIODIESEL AND STRAIGHT VEGETABLE OIL. Camel colored interior, leather seats - respectable condition. The paint is after market, could use a new coat if your feeling ambitious. I recently changed the motor mounts, rear calipers and had the injectors cleaned. Also replaced the oil cooling lines to fix a leak. I just replaced the starter motor to a Bosch Premium (with warranty). I added an Alpine Stereo system with new speakers and an iPod dock in the glove box. The front tires are new, the rear tires will need to be replaced in about a year. Non-smokers car. My mechanic is Mike at Johann's Mercedes on La Brea and Santa Monica - he's the best. There are a few small items that need some maintenance. The motor for the sunroof burned out, that should be pretty easy to replace if you go to my favorite used Mercedes parts dealer - socalmercedesparts.com. The power locks don't work, gotta lock the doors by hand. The air conditioner blows air (regular and hot) but needs new freon for cold air. There are two very small fluid leaksremaining. These can easily be fixed if they bug you, not engine leaks! The body is in good condition save for a couple of small rust spots and a dent in the rear passenger side roof, see picture.
