NOT your grandmas Caprice :) For sale this lovingly restored 79 Chevy Caprice Classic. Power windows,brakes,steering etc. Blue plates no rust and no accidents.This is a 2 owner car. Restoration started a couple of years ago by selecting the best example that was for sale. This is a clean resto with tasteful modifications. The engine is a rebuilt 350 small block with a 4 barrel carb. Carburator was rebuilt and electric choke was installed. New waterpump and radiator takes care of the cooling. New chromed alternator Chrome valve covers and air cleaner New battery The v8 rumbles through the new dual exhaust system with magnaflow mufflers. The transmission,3 speed TH350 was rebuilt with warranty,new shift kit and converter.It shifts flawlessly. The rear end was rebuilt,no leaks. The suspension was reworked as well with new shock and bushings. New coils were made by ESPO Springs and things shop which sits the car approx 2 inches under stock ride height.It is very pleasent to the eye and it stiffens up the suspension a bit. Beautiful rallye wheels are wrapped in BF Goodrich tires,sits just nice The exterior was stripped for paint,after completion it was color sanded.The result you can see it in the photos. New front windshield was installed among fresh rubber seals around the door jams and the trunk. The windows are slightly tinted. The interior is probably nicer than when it came from the factory. The front bench seat is boring so they were replaced by later model Buick buckets. The entire interior was redone.Sound proofing was added under the new carpet and headliner. Front and back seats reupholstered in gray with black inserts. The famous clock was fixed and it works perfect. A nice stereo system was added,speakers changed in the dash and in the back. Small sub and an amp hidden behind the rear seats. A couple of things that Id like to mention that doesnt work,but it doesnt affect the cars running or esthetic condition. The passenger side door only locks from the interior and the speedometer needle its a bit jumpy,as with any other old cars. This is a perfect running and driving car. Fly in and drive it home if you wish. Excellent cruiser and very reliable. Clean title and current registration. TERMS: I will ship it on your expense.
