You are looking at a very nice original 1965 Pontiac Catalina. I bought this car from an older Gentleman her in Phoenix. He had owned the car since 2006 and only sold it due to health issues. It is an original 52,000 mile Catalina that was originally sold new in Ohio. At some point it made its way down to Atlanta and then to Arizona. It is painted in its original color of Reef Turquoise with matching interior. It has been repainted once in its life and still shows very well. There is a small bubble in the paint on the drivers side rocker,(see picture), but the rest of the paint has survived nicely. It has been in a nice climate controlled garage for at least the last 6 years. It does have a few scratches by the passenger side tail light where it was rubbed while backing into the garage and that is all I can find. The scratches would not even show up in my pictures. The floors and trunk are great and appears to have the original spare, jack and tools in the trunk. It has its original YC coded engine that was originally a two barrel carb but has been converted to a 4 barrel. It was badged as a 421 years ago and looks really good. It looks just like an old 60s sleeper drag car with the 421 emblems, painted steel wheels, dog dish hub caps and black wall tires. The car has had some more throaty exhaust installed at some point. Not loud or obnoxious, actually sounds very good. The only thing I could find that did not work was the fuel gauge. Probably needs a sending unit. I drove the car home almost 50 miles and it ran and drove absolutely perfect. It floated down the road just like you would expect a 52,000 mile Catalina to perform. The car just reeks with originality. It still has all four T 3 headlights, original trico wiper arms, and the original spark plug wires dated first quarter 65. the interior appears to be all original and near mint condition aside from a few discolorations and some small staining on the headliner. I have the PHS docs for the car as well as the original owners manual and Protect O Plate. I am offering this car with no reserve. Please do not bid unless you plan to buy the car.
