You are looking at a 1957 Corvette that has not been offered for sale for close to 30 years. I found this car in Bakersfield, California and it is now in Scottsdale, Arizona. It is an original 245 horse dual quad car with both tops. It has been primarily used as a weekend cruiser for the last 25 years or so. It has its original engine that now has a four barrel carb and intake on it but I have a restored dual quad set up done by Chuck Smith. The car also has a rebuilt T-10 transmission by 4 speeds by Darryl that has maybe 500 miles on it. I have the 3 speed and shifter that came out of the car also. The body is very nice and I could only find one spot up by the drivers side headlight that shows some repair. The car was originally black with silver coves and red interior. It is now painted red with white coves and black interior. I have new red door panels from Al Knock that will go with the sale. The best part on the car is the frame and underside. I have owned a lot of solid axle and midyear Corvettes and this is the nicest California frame that I have ever seen. It still has the original paint on the frame and the date and part number are still perfectly visible. (see picture) I would guess the paint was done at least 35 years ago and it shows. It is definitely a 5 footer. You're not buying the paint job on this car though. The value is the original engine, very desirable original color combo, two tops, dual quads, and beautiful California frame. The California yellow and black plates are registered to the car. The engine and transmission have already been rebuilt, the brakes have recently been done, and the front end has been gone through. This is a car you have a lot of choices with. You can leave it alone and drive it, do the paint, interior and top and have a killer 57, or leave it alone, put the dual fours on it and leave it that way....whatever the new owner wants. I have the original 57 Owners manual and all of the repair receipts also. It still retains both T 3 headlights and both tail lights have been recently rechromed. The wonder bar radio plays also.
