Here for your consideration is an early second series 1969 E Type coupe. This car has been apart and hoping for some attention for many years. The engine and transmission are not identifiable as being the original units for this car but they appear to be the correct 4.2 series. This car will need some floor repair as there is rust through. A section of the spare tire well will need to be patched as well. The frame and suspension appear to be straight. The passenger door skin is good, but the driver’s door skin shows rust-through at the bottom. The sheet metal of the nose has surface rust but as seen in the pictures, it is very solid and shows well. All the glass, including the rear hatch glass, is accounted for and in good condition, but the chrome door glass frames are missing. Included with this car is what appears to be a rebuilt alternator, and what looks like the better part of a complete new rubber kit for the car including new windshield and rear hatch glass seals. The stainless steel side trim pieces for the windshield are here, but the upper and lower chrome windshield surrounds are missing. Other notable parts which are also missing and not in the photos are the radiator, one headlight assembly, the water pump, flywheel, bumpers, taillights, jack and tools. There are two seats that go with this car that are not shown in any of the photographs. They are in very poor condition, without any padding or covering, but they do have the adjustable mounts. There may be other small parts missing as well. This will be a 7 day auction and this car will be sold with no reserve. If you have been looking for the opportunity to get involved with an E type coupe project, for the road or track, this car just might be your cup of tea. The beginning price of this offering would be a good value if only to be used as parts, if you have looked at the prices on e-bay of the various major components of these car lately. Hopefully she will be brought to life again however. This car rolls freely and we will assist in loading for transport, but will not make any arrangements to ship this car. The sale of this car is intended to only go within the US or Canada. Purchaser is responsible for all shipping arrangements. A non refundable deposit of $500 will be required to be received within 24 hours of the close of this sale or the deal will be cancelled, negative feedback assigned and the car will be re-listed. This car will be sold with a Bill of Sale only, as CT is a non-title state for vehicles older than 1981.
