Vehicle Detail

This is a 1966 Ford Galaxie 500 with a 390, 4 barrel carb, automatic transmission, factory in-dash air conditioning. This is a complete car, just needs a little assembly. The body- rear quarters are rusty, but new quarters are included with the sale of the car. A previous owner cut out the trunk pan, I have a trunk pan included with the sale of the car. One fender has a small dent, the roof has a couple minor dents. This is old fashioned, heavy metal, these dents should pop out easily. Both front fenders have minor (and I mean tiny) rust spots. The trunk also has a dent. I have the trim that goes below the doors and above the front tires. The interior- for its age, it's in good shape. The carpet is dirty/faded, the vinyl seats are in good shape (not perfect, but nice driving condition). The headliner is gone. The engine/transmission- I do not have receipts for it, but a previous owner overhauled this motor. It's a nice running 390. The motor rebuild included a 10-10 crank, bigger cam, stock bore, redone heads, and four barrel intake from a '64 352. I have replaced the fuel pump, new battery, fresh oil, fuel filter, upper radiator hose, and one lifter and I have receipts for those parts. The power steering pump works but leaks. Radiator does not leak. The transmission leaks out the output shaft seal and the pan gasket (easy fixes). I also have new Pertronix ignition (not installed but included). Car is running on tires with good tread but some weathering, they hold air fine. The wheels are Cragar SS. Also included are the four stock wheels/hubcaps. Like all old Galaxies, the frame has issues. I'm not an expert on welding, but it looks like it would be an easy fix. I'm also including the shop manual and wiring manual I purchased off eBay less than a year ago. I hate to sell this car, but found a great deal on my dream car, and fresh college graduates don't need two project cars. PLEASE do not hesitate to contact me with questions, I will answer quickly and thoroughly. If you would like, include a phone number and I will gladly call you. I do have a reserve price but am a very motivated seller. Thanks for looking! On Nov-01-12 at 08:02:01 PDT, seller added the following information:The rocker trim (below the door) also comes with the car and is in good condition. I also have the "Galaxie 500" for both sides that goes on the rear quarter. On Nov-03-12 at 05:52:12 PDT, seller added the following information: As far as I can tell, the floor pans are not rusted. I have not pulled the carpet up and checked, I've only tapped around on the bottom of the car. When I purchased the car, I was told it spent most of its life in a too short garage that made the trunk hang out- causing seals to break down and leak into the trunk and eventually rust the trunk out. Reserve has also been lowered. Thanks for all the interest!
