Up for auction is a great project, that is pretty rare..... 1966 Ford F250 Camper Special edition. This is an original , #'s matching project! The truck is a running, driving project that is in pretty good shape. The truck has NO RUST!! The truck has never been in an accident, but the front fender was damaged by a tire blow out many years ago. The truck has it's original 352 engine that starts right up and runs great. No knocking or smoking from the engine. I bought the truck from the original owners widow, and she said the 62,000 miles were original and that her husband used the truck for his handy man part time job until it was parked many years ago. The truck has power steering and power brakes, with the slide out rear bumper that was only on the Camper Special edition. You can take her for a drive, but she is not ready for any long trips yet, as she is a project. The truck will sell to the highest bidder as there is NO RESERVE! The engine starts right up and idles great with no smoking or knocking. The truck has P/s, and Power Drum brakes that stop good. The truck runs down the road and the motor sounds good and healthy. The trans is a smooth shifting C6 that works just fine. The rear end has 4:10 gears and is ready to pull a house!! Interior/ Exterior: The interior is well used, and has sat in the sun for some years and needs to be redone. The gauges all work fine, speedo works fine, lights/ brakes/ blinkers all work fine too. The windows roll up and down fine, doors lock also. The gas gauge still works, and the wipers work too. The exterior wears it's original paint, and has never been repainted. The truck has no rust at all. The floors are great, the bed is great, bottom of the doors are great too. The tailgate is in good shape, and the front grille and front end are in great shape too. This is a great project truck, and it's one that could be on the road again pretty quickly. INFO: The truck is being sold "AS IS" , due to the fact she is 46 years old, and she is a project type truck. On Oct-28-12 at 15:32:01 PDT, seller added the following information: Just to clear up a few questions about the truck, To make her a daily driver or to drive her home on a couple hour trip you would atleast need some new tires. I rebuilt the carb to get her going and changed the oil and filter, flushed the tank and fuel lines. I have not taken her on a drive more than 10 minutes, which she drove just fine and all was well. She would be a great driver with just a little work is what I am getting to, so if you win the truck please plan on trailering her home is my best advice to be safe.
