This truck was completely restored in 2005 by my father in law. It was a frame off restoration with a completely rebuilt engine. Eveything in this truck was either rebuilt or new in 2005. I have only used it a handful times in local parades, and have probably put less than 500 miles on the engine. My father in law is the classic car master but unfortunately he is not in good health and is unable to help with the upkeep of the truck anymore. I love this truck, but as with all classic trucks it constantly needs little tweaking and I am not a mechanic. This would be the ideal truck for a collecter who has the time, patience, desire, and knowledge to enjoy it. The truck is sound and runs great but there are a few problems, mostly cosmetic, that would need to be taken care of. The paint on the top of the cab is peeling slightly and should be touched up, the headliner needs to be replaced as it is loose, and the boards of the bed have weathered and need some attention. Mechanically the only thing it needs is a new regulator.... the battery does not charge while driving the truck, but the truck starts right up with a booster and runs fine. I have close to ten thousand dollars invested in this truck and I really do not use it, I would love to see it go to a new home where it can be appreciated and functional.
