1982 Volvo 242 240 Turbo GLT Two Door Coupe Intercooler 4speed with Overdrive This is my clean 242 Turbo for sale, I have owned this car on and off for the past 12 years. It is the classic silver with blue interior, I have put the 1983 smaller bumpers on the car along with the front lip spoiler and rear valance. All upgrades were done in a very tasteful 240 classic loving manner. At 154k I went a little crazy with spending money on this car and replaced the following: Suspension:-Installed Bilstein front struts and rear shocks-iPd Lowering springs-iPd Undercarriage Brace-iPd strut tower braces-iPd front and rear anti roll bars "sway bars"-All new bushings, every one of them with OE or iPd upgraded-Sway bar link kits-Front strut mounts-Steering Rack Tune Up & Running:-Fuel Accumulator-Fuel injector seals (inner/outer)-Adjusted valves-Replaced cam plug seal-Distributor cap, rotor, plugs-Fuel and air filters-Fuel Distributor Line PSI Regulator Kit-Fluids all changed and refilled (engine, transmission, rear axle)-Brake flush and coolant flush-Mobil1 15w50 oil Changes Other:-Replaced Windshield Wiper Motor-R134a AC Service, AC is cold-Replaced intank rubber hose to prepump - r&r fuel sending unit/replace gasket-Upgraded Stereo System, installed 5 years ago, modern and very high quality Overall condition of the interior is superb, the cloth seats have not splits or tears. The dash board has one half inch long split at the rivet on the right side (backside) so hard to see. The door panels are in good condition, map pockets were replaced and have no cracks, carpets are in good condition with the driver's side rubber wear protector having a tear at the back edge - see photo. all accessories work, sunroof is smooth and works well and the trunk has the matting and side panels in good condition. The under hood heat/noise mat is intact and in good condition. On the exterior, the floors and rails are great and rust free. Overall paint has the infamous silver problem, where there are areas that are separating - I would say the last thing to do to this car to make it perfect would be paint. The spare tire wells have some minor bubbling as does the seams where the quarter attaches to the rocker. Both door jambs have bubbling (minor) at the sear in the rear portion. I have pictures for all who are interested. The car has 240 Classic Wheels, painted fresh with custom striped hub cap centers, a mono steering wheel, MSD ignition, fresh battery, a four speed updated heat/ac blower motor, and so much more - most especially the love and car of a devoted Volvo enthusiast for most all of its' life.
