Vehicle Detail

A 1972 Imperial La baron 2 DOOR!!! Very rare vehicle and has 89,659 miles. What a beast, with a 440 4 barrel forged steel crank engine, and the durable 727 automatic transmission. This Imperial is a diamond in the rough but is a great car and has a lot of potential. I hate to sell it but I am moving and plans have changed. I have owned this car for the last 8 years. The engine, transmission and drive train work great. No problems or noises. Steering and suspension tight and no noises, drives as it should. I have maintained this car as needed and drove it occasionally, about 7000 miles. Many new parts were put on the car to make it function properly. Recently within the last year, an alternator, ignition coil, and a Chrysler Electronic control unit. The hide away headlight system works as well. I have never seen a 2 door Imperial of this vintage in my area for the past 15 years. Not many made, you can look it up on the Imperial registry. This car has body problems that seemed to plague most Chrysler products of the early and mid 70s. Not to mention, it sat under an oak tree for 6 years before I purchased it. Both front fenders are rusted through on the bottoms. Passenger front fender has a boo boo on the front rear of bumper. Passenger rear quarter panel is rusted through on the bottom. It is also rusted through on the top at the seams and around the trunk lip. The roof is rusted through in several places on the top and on the seams for the vinyl top. It needs steel panels welded in places. It is not for the faint of heart. It will take an experienced body person to make it right. I'm sure you could fiberglass in the panels if so desired. The interior is in great shape for its age. Front seats need recovered . Dash and door panels and headliner are good. Carpet is ok, I would replace it. The floor pans are good as well as the door jams and pillars. The trunk has alot of rust but could be saved in my opinion. Power windows work door locks, not. Tires are have good tread, but are getting old. This would be one of the coolest cars around all restored to its original glory. Very rare and unique automobile... Own a part or American Automotive history!! Call Matt at 407-697-7419 if you need any more details. Good Luck and have a great day!
