1968 Triumph TR-250 with - OVER-DRIVE - and it works - 43,000 original MILES - car also has TONNEAU cover for THE DAYS YOU DON'T WANT TO USE THE CONVERTIBLE TOP top (see pictures). This is my personal car that has been driven approximately 6000 miles over the past 15 years that I have owned it. The car is not a trailer queen - it is a very dependable driver with a bit of patina on the interior and exterior of the car. The exterior sheet metal is good - it appears that a minor respray was done before my ownership - (see Pictures) some very minor paint chipping on the passenger side rear wheel tire well - floors are good (see pictures) interior has what I would call minimal wear and tear for a car of it's age. The TR 250 was a one year built car - which makes it very collectible - if you do your research, you will find that only 600 of this model are known to exist WORLDWIDE - with some minor interior cleanup and a new paint job your TR-250 will bring up towards $30K. I'm the 4th owner since new in 1968 - now a run down on the history of my car. 1968 TR - 250 OWNER HISTORY:1968- The car was bought new by UW Milwaukee Professor, for his wife, she did not like the manual shift. Approx 3 months later the Professor bought a new 1968 Corvette with automatic transmission for his wife. ( This story was told to me by the 2nd owners son-in-law. The 2nd owner was a retired gentleman from Brookfield, just west of Milwaukee. He bought it from the Professor in late 68 or early 69. The second owner only used it on weekends or car shows, my estimate is that he had it about 27 years, he passed away about 1996. I bought the car as the 3rd owner - when I bought the car it had about 37,000 miles on it. For all practical purposes, the only major work done on the car, was the carburetors, they were changed a few years ago by a foreign car garage here in Neenah, Wi. to put adjustable carbs on it versus the original nonadjustable. In the approx. 15 years that I have owned the, I have put very few miles per year on it, maybe 3 to 500 miles per year, never in the winter or rain. The car has always been stored inside.
