Look at this beautiful 1972 Mercedes 350 SL. The car is very straight and nice with 139000 original miles. These cars are quite rare as 1972 was the only year for the US model '350 SL' and only 4778 of these were ever made. The previous owner placed the "450 SL" badge on the car for looks. I could find no rust on this original California "blue plate" car (old plate still in trunk), it's solid. The car was traded in as a two owner car originally from Santa Monica CA, I have the original books, warranty booklet (the 'used car purchase card' is still inside), the original 'protect o plate' and service records from facilities in CA up to 115k miles and also the original build sheet or 'broadcast sheet', some people have different names for it. The car has two tops, the fabric top is serviceable and even though the plastic windows are worn, there is a new clear window set that comes with the car, get those stitched in and the soft top will be good to go, it will hold out the elements without worry. Hard top is in great shape, good glass and has the rear defogger. The car has been refinished somewhere in it's life in this very nice white (not the original color) and it is shiny, looks great on the car. The interior is all intact and looks to be original, gauges appear to be working, fan blows (A?C needs recharged and/or serviced) but the radio does not turn on. The car does have it's originally equipped seat belts in back but does not have the optional rear seating pads. Glass is great, no chips or cracks, tires are older but have good tread left, all trim, chrome lights and lenses are all intact (right rear lens is intact but has a crack in it). The car starts right up and the engine is smooth and quiet. The car runs and drives good, for a 40 year old unrestored car. This car is not perfect but it is great looking, runs and drives, is rust free and has great documantation and history. Don't miss this opportunity to own a true classic.
