1952 Pontiac Chieftain- 60th Diamond Anniversary Up for sale is our classic beauty that needs to find a new home. We are retiring to Florida in November and our new home by the sea will not have indoor parking. We still ride around on week-ends with the 'Ol Girl and she purrs like a kitten. The straight 8 cylinder and automatic transmission ride smooth and smoke free! The car was a barn find from Ohio and we have put money into her but it would be a great project car to the right person.The body of the car was re-painted a few years back by her first owner and has very little rust. The body chrome is in great condition except for the bumpers and door handles. Here’s what we did:New brakes all 4 wheelsNew brake pistons, springs and new master cylinder and flushed brake lines out with new fluidNew wires, plugs, rotor, points, distributer capExhaust system, fuel pump and 6 V battery Here’s what we haven’t done yet but you'll get the parts to do it yourself: New floor pans for both driver and passenger side. Some rust in rear passenger entrance doors that needs work.New trunk pans but truck is still solid except for small rust hole on right side Some issues: All dash controls good working order except gas gauge, it stays on 'full.' I believe it needs a fuel sending unit. There is a new electric fuel pump but not hooked up. The headliner has two holes, one on drivers side and one in rear passenger side so headliner should be replaced. The seats front and rear need to be recovered. On drivers side there is missing chrome piece that needs to be installed... we have the piece and it will be included with car. There is a small hole in rear passengers window and the window regulator (we have it & you'll get it!) needs to be installed. I am including the regulator, I have 2 and a new tool to remove the door panels I found some records in the glove compartment and will be included with the car. We also have a shop manual, a box of 6V light bulbs. The AM radio works beautifully!! (We listen to the baseball game all the time!!) There are no major dents.
