1967 Mercury CougarNew 289 EngineAutomatic TransmissionPower SteeringPower BrakesFactory Air Conditioning This is a sweet little car! It is from Arizona, and has no rust at all! It has been repainted once, but it was a while ago. Still looks very sharp, but has a few wear spots. Still shines up nicely though. No body damage, or signs of any accidents. The worst is a spot on the right front fender where it looks like a thin spot of bondo popped out. There is white paint there to protect the metal, but it has not been repaired.Engine is a a new 289 Long Block installed in February of this year. The long block alone was $1900, and installed was $4189. I do have the receipt for this work. The replacement included new radiator, water pump, and rebuilt carburetor. On top of that, the A/C system was redone with a new compressor, clutch and reciever dryer, and is charged with R134. Blows ice cold! That was about another $1000. Also new Cragar custom wheels, Cooper Lifeliner 205/70R14 tires, muffler and new shocks. Not much left to do on this car! Interior is very nice for being original. Seats look great, carpet looks great, passenger door panel looks great, driver door panel has a little wear with a patch where your arm rests when the window is down, and a crack down on the actual arm rest. Headliner is very good, but is loose at the right rear corner near the rear window. Glass is all good. Front windows work well, but rear windows could use a little attention if you want them to work correctly.Remote controlled mirror does work fine. Dash has the original radio in dash still, and an aftermarket stereo installed underneath the dash. I am so happy that they did not cut up the dash! Kenwood AM / FM/ CD stereo works fine. Two rear speakers in back window. Odometer shows 43775 miles, and does work. Do not know if they are actual miles or not. Has working fuel gauge and temp gauge, with oil and amp trouble lights. Light are all good, but headlight doors do not come back down on their own. The sequential tail lights work fine. Car runs and drives great! I would trust this car to drive anywhere!
