I bought this Jeep in 2007 as project vehicle. I love this jeep! We've had many amazing family moments in it; however, I must sell it to move across country. The submitted photos walk you through the restoration and customization process over the past 4-5 years. I have spent approximately $24,000 restoring, customizing, and upgrading this 83 CJ7 to its current state. I finally pulled it out of the shop this past July 2012. The rebuilt 350 engine, automatic transmission, and drivetrain have less than 2,000 miles on them. Vehicle Condition: When I purchased this vehicle it was not drivable; the passenger rear leaf spring was snapped and the passenger rear quarter panel in front of the wheel was damaged due to the Jeep being T-Boned (See the photos). As you can see from the photos, it has come a long way and is about 90% where I wanted to take her. I focused on performance and have not completed the last 10% or finishing (cosmetics). The remaining 10% is up to the buyer. This CJ7 has had the following components rebuilt, customized, upgraded or reconditioned within the last 4-5 years: 1978 Chevy 350 Engine .030 custom (rebuilt), 1978 Turbo 350 automatic transmission (rebuilt), 1987 New Process 208 Transfer Case (rebuilt), New "inline" fuel pump to meet current fuel standards, 1985 OEM front D35 Axle with disc brakes (reconditioned), 1983 OEM Rear D44 Axle 3.73 mid-range gears (reconditioned), 1978 HEI Chevy ignition System (New), 1978 Chevy Starting System (New), 1978 Chevy Charging System (New), 1983 Jeep CJ7 Steering Box (Reconditioned), 1983 Custom Master Cyl & Break Booster (New), FlowMaster 50 series dual exhaust, Custom front/rear tube bumpers, Custom tube rock sliders, Roll Cage, 1983 OEM suspension with 2.5" lift kit, Mickey Thompson MTL 31.10.5X15 radials, Mickey Thompson Side Biter 15" wheels, Custom Radiator, Custom Transmission cooler, New Best Top and Doors, New Seats, an extra set of "Rugged Ridge" all terrain 6" fender flare kit (6 piece), and too many additional upgrades to list. I have receipts and paperwork for all items listed. Warranty: Although I have documentation for the above reconditioning, work, new parts, for the appropriate service providers and vendors, I make no warranty for this vehicle.
