Vehicle Detail
1942 Dodge Carryall WC-53 military 4x4 Power Wagon Built August 11, 1942. Truck is in nice shape. Very unusual in that it has ARB locking differentials in the front and rear---air lockers. It has Warn locking hubs. PTO winch that operates off the transmission (winch model MU2). It has a 2 speed transfer case (original was a single speed). The truck is very presentable, I would call it parade quality. The paint is not perfect, but looks pretty good. No rust issues. Large Michelin 11.00R-16 radial tires are like new. Included is a 5th tire and wheel for a spare, but I don't have the mount that hangs the spare next to the driver's door. 5:83 gears. Starts, runs, stops decent enough. Interior is in pretty good shape. Seat upholstry is fresh, floor looks good. It doesn't have any of the data plates. Tailgate works fine. All windows go up and down, glass is good. Windshield flips out. I have never had it over 40mph, I imagine the tires would need to be balanced for any high-speed runs. This is an old, mechanical, primitive truck. Lots of gear noise, spots the driveway but nothing serious, slow, non-synchro transmission, manual brakes and steering. Your wife would hate it. Has turn signals. I believe all lights and gauges work except the fuel gauge which seems to have a mind of its own. GITMO license plate not included. This is a nice truck that gets a lot of attention and is fun to drive. You can see video of the truck cruising through town, from the driver's perspective: http://youtu.be/DaKNF_zc8OY Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs and arrangements. Pay with cash or check, but check must clear before truck leaves. Truck has a clear Oregon title in my name. Must be picked up by the buyer or the shipper in Keizer (Salem) Oregon. Email or call with questions: 503-999-6626. Available for inspection and test drive any time. Can store it for a month or so if needed. On Oct-04-12 at 14:02:16 PDT, seller added the following information: As requested, a few extra pictures. The only rust I am aware of is on the running board mounts. The ARB air lockers were specially made to fit the stock axles and operate from a small onboard compressor.
