Vehicle Detail
Hello. You are checking out my 1996 Ford F-350, 1 ton 4x4, regular cab, long bed pickup truck. It is a Powerstroke diesel with the E40D automatic transmission. I want to stress to everyone that this truck is too be considered a project, or a rebuilder, or a parts donor for another project. You must decide your particular needs for this vehicle if you are interested in it. I do not want to lead any potential buyer into thinking that this truck is a nice, road worthy F-350 in any fashion! I am honest to a fault and it's excellent business to be up front with everyone about this truck so an informed purchase decision can be accomplished without any surprises or disappointments. I just traded for it and I do not know anything about it's past or how it was used. What I do know is this: The truck has a very good, strong diesel engine in it. It really runs nice, it has a lot of power, it starts quickly, idles nicely, takes fuel great and revs just fine. The glow plug controller is bad. I have to spray just a small, and I mean small, amount of fluid onto the air cleaner to get it to start, which it does, just fine, everytime, and it starts fine when warm. The transmission has just a very few thousand few miles on it as per the fellow that I bought it from, but who knows for sure? Just take that info with a grain of salt, as I did. It takes gear good which is all that I know and it drove fine around the farm here. The 4x4 seems fine as well. It is important to note that this truck just completed a 1,200 mile trip up here from down south. Somewhere along the way the rear differential leaked out all of the fluid and the bearings burned up making the truck not road worthy. I'm including a perfect 4:10 limited slip, matching rear differential with this truck at no extra cost to the ultimate winner of this auction. I'll describe the truck fully so you'll get a good picture of it, and I'm going to call it just as it is. First, the truck has a poor body on it. The front doghouse is fairly nice, overall. The cab is nice as a whole, but the interior is worn and dirty. The door panels look bad and worn. The power window motor in the drivers door is bad. The seat is also worn. The bed is shot and needs to be replaced. The paint finish is bad as well. Overall, with a new bed and some cheap TLC, you could have a decent, rare F-350 here. As aforementioned, the engine is tight, it may have a good, lower mile tranny in it and you're going to get a new rear axle, so mechanically, you'll be good, or should, be good to go in that respect. It has a brand new radiator, lift pump and some brake work. The brakes need bleeding, however. The a/c blows cold, yet. It has a good set of aluminum wheels on it with so-so tires. The absolute best thing about this truck is the fact that it is rust free inside and out. The frame is perfect. It is not rusted, scally or damaged. It is just dirty and black. How many of these F-350's have you seen with the frames rusted to junk?? Not here. The running gear is the best part of this truck and the part that everyone wants. The Dana 60 is nice as well. All in all, it's got to be good for someone who wants one of the brute's to rebuild or use as parts for their F-350 project and the best part is that she's going dirt cheap as I don't want much for it at all. Remember!! This truck is semi-rough and it's my intention to sell it as a rebuilder, or a parts truck or just whatever. It is not road worthy and it will have to be hauled home. It has a clear title to it as well. Thanks for looking and be sure to view the payment conditions. God bless All :)
