Vehicle Detail

This body style was only made for a few years. I only see one about every 6 months or so on the roads. It was also the last of the rear wheel drive before Toyota switched to the front wheel drive platform. Of this style, I have read where they sold more of the hatchback model than the coupe. Also, the GT-S was the top of the Celica line and again not a lot out there. I don't know if it's rare or just not extremely common. I'm constantly asked what it is and what year. Funny how it's just about 30 years old and people don't see them enough to know what it is. Mine Celica is just shy of 100K original miles. I'm the 3rd owner. Always kept in a garage. I have classic car ins. on it that runs $130 a year. I also have an appraisal of $10250 that I'll include with the car. Only selling because I bought a M3 and it's time for the Celica to go to a new home. Bad: The paint is a 10 footer. Some minor parking lot dings on passenger. On passenger side the fiberglass fender flare has a small crack. The paint has minor imperfections that are noticable up close. Windshield has minor scratches from where previous owner ran wiper blades that were bad. Does not impede driver vision. The tires are older, but not rotted, but could use a balancing. Just trying to mention everything. Good: No rust. Never in an accident. All original. No cracks in the dash. No rips on seats. Everything works and I mean EVERYTHING! Lights. Gauges. Windows. Sun Roof. Radio. Only aftermarket part is a car alarm that includes remote door locks. Clutch works like new. Runs and idles perfectly. These 2.4 motors are bulletproof. All interior parts are still there. The center console top is not cracked or dented, which usually happens from the driver resting their elbow on it (I did not). The car drives and handles very well. I get 28mpg in mostly city driving. Passed emissions with no problems. What's been done in the last year? New battery. Wires. Plugs. Always Mobil One oil & filter every 3k miles. Radiator hoses. Flushed radiator w/100 coolant. All belts. New gear oil in rear diff. New K&N air filter that's cleaned with every oil change. Fuel system cleaned, including injectors. The biggie . . . new AC compressor. AC blows ice cold. This car needs nothing. I don't drive it daily, but it can be if you so choose. Email with questions. No warranties implied or expressed. The car is very nice, but nearly 30 years old, and has minor imperfections and flaws. It's a nice example of a Toyota Celica that can be a daily driver or a weekend car or a show car.On Sep-30-12 at 17:20:26 PDT, seller added the following information: Just noticed a few typos: The coolant is the 100K miles variation.
