Beautiful pearl white 99' XJ8. - brand new alternator/generator ($800)- 2 new ignition coils ($500)- brand new battery ($100)- brand new fuel pump ($600) The CHECK ENGINE light is on. There is also a RESTRICTED PERFORMANCE light that flashes on the dash due to this. I had a mechanic check the codes a few months ago and he said they were for o2 sensors. I did NOT have the o2 sensors replaced and the car has been sitting in my driveway since then. The car starts and drives, but I do not drive it. The ABS light is also on - this causes a STABILITY CONTROL FAIL message to appear on the dash. It has been on since I have owned the car and does not affect the car in any way. The cost to replace the sensor causing this light to be on is not worth it. The car dies every few days if not started. I do not know why. Maybe there is a short or a ground or a blown fuse somewhere or something, I really don't know. The radio does not work I have recently noticed, and it has always worked in the past. It doesn't even turn on. Maybe this is related to this electrical issue. Car is currently in my driveway not registered, not insured and dead. If I jump the car, car starts and is able to drive. Please ask questions if you are interested and are familiar with these cars. Don't expect to buy it and have it ready to drive across the country. It needs o2 sensors, that I know for sure. That is really not even a big job. And I guess other than that, the electrical issue needs to be figured out. I driven this car many miles and is a nice car when running properly. I just don't need this car anymore so is sitting in my driveway doing nothing. Also:- There is a slight burn mark on the sunroof (pictured here).- I only have 1 key for the car.- There is no jag leaper on the hood. - I have all paperwork from work done on the car. I AM SELLING THE CAR AS IS. Thoughst before bidding:- consider coming to look at the car before doing so (message me).
