Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a 1957 MGA that has 2344 miles on a frame off restoration performed in 1995 by Ren-Mac Restorations of New Castle PA. Paint/body: The paint is glossy and has a lot of depth. On the nose there is areas where the reconstruction work underneath is starting to show, but overall the paint looks very nice. . Chrome: The chrome bumpers were redone and are still in excellent shape. The rest of the chrome is also excellent on the car and looks new. Interior/Soft top: The interior is very clean. The seats have been recovered in leather and are in excellent shape. The rest of the interior is excellent. With exception of the kick panel cards are a bit warped from moisture. The beige cloth top is in good shape the windows are not quite crystal clear at this point however. The original "flip up" side curtains come with the car, but have not been restored. Wheels/Tires: The wheels were cleaned, prepped and painted at the time of the restoration and still show well. The tires are still in good shape with no dry rot and plenty of tread Underside/floors: The underside and frame is solid and clean. The wooden floors are still solid and straight. There is no rust underneath this car. It has been driven during the mostly dry summer days in Colorado, and stored indoors for the Colorado winters. Engine Compartment: The engine compartment is clean and original yet not polished. The only exception is that there is evidence brake fluid damage to the paint on the bulkhead Overall: This is a very nice higher end diver/touring car. It is not perfect. However, with the benefit of a frame off restoration this car will provide years of enjoyment and will give the perfect opportunity for a guy who would rather be out driving the car not worrying about getting a ding or scratch. It comes with restoration receipts, restoration pictures, shop manual, and restoration guide. This is a very special car with a nicely documented history. This car has been in the family for almost 30 years. The current owner purchased it from his brother whom had it stored in his garage and was doing nothing with it. A transaction was made, a full restoration performed, and so this lovely car was preserved for years to come. MGA Roadsters are great collector cars that are steadily going up in value. A great car with great aftermarket support that is ready to be enjoyed! Also with prices suddenly on the move, these cars will not be getting any cheaper any time soon. Thank you for bidding and I will answer any questions you have. Regards; Jason
