Vehicle Detail
I sold this truck last week and unfortunately another dead beat ebay bidder has failed to follow through with a sale. Bidder, estate-sales-60 failed to even contact me to say he was not buying the truck. This costs money to relist ads. Do not bid unless you ae willing to complete the transaction. I found this 1971 GMC short bed out in the desert of Arizona the other day and could not pass it up. It is a factory red with parchment interior truck that had been driven by an older gentleman and then parked in his driveway in the desert. It is a factory 307 with a three speed on the tree. It starts right up but runs rough. I have driven it around my property here but would not want to get it out on the road without some new plugs, wires, etc. The trans and clutch seem to work great and shifts very smoothly. The tires are old and dry rotted but still hold air. It appears that the rockers have been replaced at some time in the past. The truck overall is very rust free and dry. The bed is one of the best I have ever seen. Even the inside is very nice. Hardly even any dents. The floors are excellent and it even has the build sheet still stuck to the floor on the drivers side. It was built in Fremont, California and made its way over to Arizona where it has been most of its life. Someone along the way has redone the seat and changed the glove box door and steering wheel. The doors both have a little rust bubbling at the bottoms but thats really all I can find. I think it would be tough to find a more rust free, straight truck as this one. The paint is faded but actually looks kind of cool. I think the paint could be brought back to a shine. Looking to buy a low mile original paint 1972 Blazer...finders fee paid I am offering this truck at no reserve. Please do not bid unless you intend to buy. Winning bidder must contact me within 24 hours of the auction end. I require full payment within 7 days of the auction close. NO EXCEPTIONS!! The truck is available for viewing and I highly encourage any potential bidder to come inspect the truck in person. The truck is sold as is with no warranties expressed or implied.
