1988 BMW 325ix 5 speed coupe. A strong pulling car with its AWD and manual 5-speed transmission. (and yes, the AWD transfer case DOES work!) This is a bit of a rarer model of the IX as many of you know, being a 1988. Has a lot of nice original features that have not been tampered with like its upgraded BMW speakers, on board computer that works, and still even retains its front valence lip on the underside, many of which are missing when you find them. The radio was replaced by the previous owner with a high grade Alpine CDA-105L radio/CD player with i-pod/i-phone adapter. Recently has had all brake lines replaced, all new seals in both front and rear differentials and transfer case, had new radiator installed by previous owner approx 20,000 miles ago, timing belt was replaced by previous owner approx. 10,000 miles ago, both front axles were take off and refreshed, as well as new motor mounts and routine oil change and passed inspection a few weeks ago (as can be seen in the photo of engine compartment.) Cosmetically in good condition with several small rust areas beginning on a few body panels. The worst being the usual rust out area below the battery box, under the rear valence. That area will need attention, or drive it as is. (Please see photos for all rust areas on body). Paint has dings and chips, its the original paint job, and its a car that's been driven to and from work as my daily driver. Paint is faded in areas, could use a paint job, or drive it as she sits now. Mechanically there are no issues known to me at this time. Just had it serviced, having the front axles refreshed, the gaskets of the differentials and transfer case replaced as well as an oil change while it was in the shop. This is a good, solid car, with plenty of life an fun to be had with it, as stated, it's been my daily driver for a little while. Plus its a nice little rare '88 model year, in pretty good condition for its age and as stated, unlike others, the all wheel drive actually works! The only reason I have to let her go is because we are downsizing. I'll be taking more photos and adding them as needed. It was supposed to read that, "...all new GASKETS" NOT.... "all new SEALS!" that were replaced on the front and rear differentials and transfer case. Sorry for the typo. Also, yes, the photos do show all the rusted areas that I am aware of, including the areas that hold the license plate lights, (as can be seen in the photo where one is loose). One fellow had asked. On Sep-22-12 at 10:44:57 PDT, seller added the following information: **(Note)**Just added a brand new ICV to the car. I just wasn't pleased enough with the way the old one was acting, it ran fine, idled fine but I just wondered now and then if it was getting tired, and I wanted to be sure the buyer would be pleased so I picked up another Bosche ICV and tossed that on. Personally, I think it idles even better now. So add that brand new Bosche ICV to the new parts and work list as well!!
