Up for auction is a solid start to a cool Rat rod! The project begins with a 1949 Willys pick-up cab w/attached short box mounted on a modified Model A chassis. The chassis has been Zd 4" in front and 6" in the rear and the cab has been dropped 6" and 2" has been removed from the bottoms of the doors and cowl. The front axle has split wishbone radius rods w/drop mounted spring perches and the original Willys steering box is already mounted. The rear is set up with new tubular radius rods w/brackets for 12" coil-overs and has a 10 bolt Chevy rear-end. The cab has a full perimeter brace installed and both doors open and close correctly. Please keep in mind that this is a project, but it is also a great opportunity to start with a solid rolling chassis. Please contact me with any questions. I do not have papers for this, but as it says in the description the VIN tag is intact on the cab and in New York all you need is a rubbing of the tag showing the ID number and insurance cards and you can register the rod. Also I had the VIN number run and it came back clean! so no issues.
