Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my 2004 BMW 530i, I am the second owner of this vehicle and have owned it for approximately 5 years now. This is a Florida car that drives approximately 500 miles per week about 450 of those miles are on the highway back and forth to work. She is garage kept at night and garage kept when at work so no sun damage. This car runs very strong, transmission is extremely smooth. I have changed both the transmission and differential fluids every 50,000 miles with BMW specified fluids. Oil changes every 6,000 miles (BMW requires 15,000) with BMW synthetic oil. Specifications for the car includes:BMW Color code: 475 (Black Sapphire Metallic)Interior Trim code: LCRK (Auburn Dakota Leather)Engine: M54 (3 litre 6 cylinder)Transmission: 6 speed manual BMW Optional features on the car include:0ZCW - Cold weather package (heated steering wheel and front seats)0ZPS - Premium sound package (Logic 7 Surround Sound System)0403 - Moonroof0416 - Rear sunshades0456 - Multi-contour seats0498 - Heated rear seats0524 - Adaptive light control0785 - White turn-signal lights08SP - CO2 control0ZFA - First aid kit0ZPP - Premium package0ZSP - Sport package0415 - Power rear sunshade0441 - Smoker's package (although I don't smoke and have never had anyone smoke in the car since I have owned it)0465 - Split fold-down rear seat0522 - Xenon headlights0605 - BMW Assist softwareAdditional items I have added over the years I have owned the car:Upgraded BMW weighted 6 speed shift knobCustom fiberglass enclosure with 10" Kicker subwooferCustom made iPhone holder, this is a custom built piece and clips on so can be removed without any damage to the carBMW Aux input for iPhone dock to connect to the carCustom made rear screens. Video from my iPhone can be broadcasted to the rear passenger screens, I generally stream Netflix movies from my iPhone to these screens for kids when we are doing road trips.Tints (Florida state legal, rear windows are a shade darker than the front windows)Upgraded angel eyesRecent repairs done on the car include:New rear brakes (BMW parts)New rear rotors (BMW parts)Replaced the entire crankcase ventilation system (all new Genuine BMW parts)Replaced cabin filter (~1 month ago)I have owned and loved this car for a long time, since I have done almost all the work on this car myself since I have owned it I have only used Genuine BMW parts. I have taken it into the dealership from time to time for checkups to ensure she is running at her best. Again, I drive ~500 miles per wk so I can't afford to have a car that is not running at it's best. I have had it checked 2 weeks ago with 2 issues identified:The drain plug was sweating oil. I had changed the factory plug to a magnetic one to verify if there were any metal shavings in the oil pan. No shavings were found, and I have since purchased a new drain plug from BMW. Will swap to the new plug with the next oil change. The passenger restraint system warning light is on (in warning mode, yellow warning light). This has been on since I have owned the car I have brought it into BMW and their recommendation is to replace the entire seat (~$2,500 for the seat). This has been an issue on this car and on the last one I owned, a 1997 528i. This has no impact on the car's drivability and is a known issue. I can reset it and it generally stays off for months then just comes back on.There are a couple of scratches on the paint some can be buffed out Although she has high mileage it has almost all been highway miles and she has many more miles left in her. Please feel free to contact me if you wish to see the car in person. The rain has held up for a couple of hours today so had the opportunity to clean her up so now posting new pics...
